Warehouse Forklift Operator ( Weekend Shift)
Location: Columbus, IN – Walesboro Area
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday | 8-hour shifts
Language Requirement: Must be fluent in English
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview
Malone Solutions is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a client specializing in automotive parts distribution and storage in the Walesboro area.
This position is responsible for safely operating forklift equipment to move, load, unload, and organize materials within a warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts while following all company safety procedures
- Load and unload trucks and containers
- Move pallets, crates, and materials throughout the warehouse
- Stack and organize pallets in designated areas
- Perform daily forklift safety inspections
- Report equipment or safety concerns to management
- Assist with inventory control and material movement
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all PPE and safety requirements
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Qualifications
- Previous forklift or warehouse experience required
- Valid forklift certification preferred
- Must successfully complete a forklift skills test
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be fluent in English
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
Benefits Upon Permanent Hire
- Benefits available after 60 days of conversion
- Company covers 75% of benefit costs
- Potential pay increase based on attendance, attitude, and performance
