OPERATION TITLE: Laser helper Summary: Assists in preparing steel when it’s brought in to the laser, unload finished product, capable of properly using a Mic to measure thickness of steel and accurately record data on Quality Inspection Sheet’s. Capable of using Synchrono to print out labels, ability to inspect parts to ensure they are within specification. Essential Job Function Include: 1. Must be able to lift 35 lbs. repeatedly – minimum of 2 times per day. 2. Uses a bridge crane which is floor operated to handle heavy plates to position on the laser bed. 3. Records appropriate production information on required documents. 4. Positions plate to Remove part from the skeleton, cleans slag from finished part using hand grinder then places finished parts into baskets or on pallets. 5. Able to access Synchrono and print our labels 6. Performs other work of similar or comparable nature incidental to the performance of the operations 7. Assists Operator/Technician in deslagging and changing out the beds when needed. 8. Performs housekeeping duties as necessary to keep work area safe, clean and in good order. GENERAL SUMMARY: * Receives Daily work schedule from Cell coordinator/Supervisor and proceeds with a minimum Supervision or Direction. * Individual is required to be able to read and write and look at prints in order to match parts to the labels and prints. * Load and unload steel and parts from the laser. Remove skeletons and place in Proper dumpsters. * Remove dross/ slag from parts * Visually inspect parts and verify they meet specifications * Takes good workman like care of machines, tools, equipment, work areas, etc.
