Temporary Buyer / Purchasing Specialist
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Assignment: Temporary | Starting October 5, 2026, or earlier, through approximately March 2027
We are seeking an experienced Temporary Buyer to support plant operations during a maternity leave. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to train with the current Buyer before the leave begins.
Responsibilities
- Source and purchase materials and supplies needed for plant operations
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to prevent shortages or overstock
- Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and in compliance with company policies
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
- Address and resolve delivery, purchasing, and quality-related issues
- Participate in physical inventory activities as needed
- Spend occasional time on the production floor while following all required PPE and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous purchasing or buyer experience preferred
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
