Malone is Now Hiring a Maintenance Tech on Third Shift in Hebron, KY!
We are a rapidly growing, global eCommerce logistics and strategy company operating multiple distribution hubs around the world. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment availability by performing routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on automated material handling systems, electronics, and facility equipment.
Shift Details & Compensation

Shift: 3rd Shift (Sunday – Wednesday)

Regular Hours: 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM

Overtime Schedule: Thursday, 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM (as needed)

Pay Rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on automated storage/retrieval systems, conveyors, and sortation systems.

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Inspect, analyze root causes, and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues–including photo-eyes, motors, belts, rollers, stretch wrappers, and dock doors–to minimize operational downtime.

Electrical & Automation: Read and interpret schematic drawings for motor control circuits; learn basic controls programming to troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs.

CMMS Management: Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software to track, generate, open, and close electronic work orders, log maintenance tasks, and manage spare parts inventory.

Safety & Upkeep: Perform safety inspections, adhere strictly to OSHA and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and assist with general facility upkeep.

Collaboration & Leadership: Coordinate with other maintenance team members and departments to ensure efficient workflows, while providing guidance and training to junior staff.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
-
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably within a high-volume distribution or fulfillment center environment.

Electrical Skills: 3+ years of experience troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480v, alongside strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs.

Equipment Knowledge: Solid understanding of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with OEM regulations. Preferred 2+ years of experience specifically focusing on automated conveyor systems.

Certifications: Technical certification or an associate degree in a related field is highly preferred. Previous experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) is required.

Operational Skills: Outstanding attendance record, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, multitask, and adapt to changing operational priorities.
Physical Demands

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods lasting 8 to 12 hours.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
-
Physical capability to bend, push, pull, stretch, crawl into awkward spaces, climb ladders, and reach both below the waist and above the head.

Comfort working at heights when operating PIT equipment.
