PART-TIME EVENT COCKTAIL SPECIALIST
Malone Solutions is hiring Part-Time Event Cocktail Specialists for one of Kentucky’s premier bourbon distilleries located in downtown Louisville. If you have a passion for bourbon, craft cocktails, and delivering exceptional guest experiences, we encourage you to apply!
POSITION DETAILS
- Pay: $17.36/hour + tips
- Part-Time Event-Based Schedule
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and special events as needed
- Expected schedule: approximately 15-35 hours per week
- Typical Friday or Saturday shifts: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Typical event shifts: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM (occasionally until 11:00 PM)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver exceptional hospitality experiences while engaging guests through bourbon education and cocktail service.
- Maintain expert knowledge of all beverage offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, presentation, and pricing.
- Demonstrate proficiency in preparing at least 50 classic and modern classic cocktails and learn the 100 essential cocktails established by the Bar Manager.
- Support leadership in educating guests and team members on the cocktail program, products, procedures, and bar operations.
- Ensure all bar areas, equipment, and facilities meet cleanliness, organization, and operational standards.
- Comply with all state liquor laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Prepare and serve high-quality spirit-free and zero-proof beverage options.
- Maintain the highest standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety practices throughout the facility.
- Follow all operating procedures, schedules, policies, and guidelines outlined by management.
- Build positive guest relationships, professionally resolve concerns, and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Provide accurate information regarding the local area and distillery experiences.
- Participate in brand education opportunities, tours, and training programs.
- Assist with and lead cocktail classes and educational experiences when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Strong hospitality and guest service skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events
- Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check
