Stocker Position
Pay: Shift Differentials applied $15.75- 17.25 /hr
Shift: 7am-3:30pm
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Stocker to support our Hospital Food & Nutrition team. This role is responsible for receiving, organizing, stocking, and distributing food, beverages, and supplies throughout the department while helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced setting, follows food safety guidelines, and provides excellent support to kitchen and patient service staff.
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload food and supply deliveries
- Verify shipments against invoices and report shortages or damaged items
- Stock and rotate food, beverages, and supplies using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures
- Organize storage areas, coolers, freezers, and dry stock rooms
- Deliver supplies to kitchen stations, cafeterias, and patient service areas as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all storage areas
- Monitor inventory levels and notify leadership of low stock items
- Assist with inventory counts and supply tracking
- Follow hospital safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
- Operate pallet jacks, carts, and other stocking equipment safely
- Support kitchen and food service staff during busy meal periods when needed
