Position: Roll Form Operator
Location: Minova – Tooele, UT
Full-time, Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Follow the production plan according to the priorities established in the program.
- Report OEE in the application with correct times, production, and incidents.
- Follow established control plan to ensure manufacturing quality.
- Lead Roll Form to achieve production program, with budgeted OEE and performance.
- Train other operators to make sure they deliver expected targets in the line.
- Report workshop incidents in the absence of supervisors and/or shift leaders.
- Be able to exercise stop work authority when hazardous conditions are present in work area.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure own work practices and environment comply with Minova SHE&S standards.
- Promptly report all unsafe working conditions and incidents.
Requirements:
- 2 years vocational/technical training program on mechanics/manufacturing, or an associate degree in roll forming/mechanics/manufacturing, or similar.
- 5 years’ experience in welding tube roll forming positions as a machine operator or in the steel manufacturing industry.
Level 1 – Required – High Expertise
- Roll form operations for steel omega profile and round pipes roll forming.
- MIG welding of flat steel using a welding gun.
- Able to manage steel tooling: shears, cutting saws, grinding wheels.
- Forklift and overhead cranes.
Level 2 – Required – Medium Expertise
- Hydraulic groups and hydraulic pumps technical skills, Hydraulic pistons.
- Pneumatic skills: knowledge of cylinders, EV, valves, regulators, and manifolds.
- Balls and cylinders bearings: maintenance and exchanging parts.
- TPM first level: lubrication, 1st level maintenance, filter change, oiling.
- Disk cutting saw, cutting disks used.
Level 3 – Medium Expertise Preferred
- Rolls change and maintenance routines.
- Coolant circuits, pumps.
- Steel metal industry common operations: stamping, cutting, and bending.
- Preventive maintenance in roll form, LOTO, and safety protocols.
- OEE: manufacturing reporting.
