Position: Welder Operator
Location: Minova – Tooele, UT
Full-time, Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
-
Follow the production plan according to the priorities established in the program.
-
Report OEE in the application with correct times, production, and incidents.
-
Follow established control plan to ensure manufacturing quality.
-
Manage welding cell to achieve production program, with budgeted OEE and performance.
-
Train other operators to make sure they deliver expected targets in the line.
-
Report workshop incidents in the absence of supervisors and/or shift leaders.
Requirements:
-
2 years vocational/technical training program on welding.
-
Certified Welding Operator
-
5 years’ experience in steel welding industry or 5 years’ experience in tube, pipe automatic welding or in steel welding industry.
Level 1 – Required – Hire Expertise
-
MIG welding of pipes, profiles or similar applications.
-
Able to manage steel tooling: shears, cutting saws, grinding wheels.
-
Forklift and overhead cranes.
Level 2 – Required – Medium Expertise
-
Welding defects troubleshooting.
-
Welding wire, welding gases, Steel MIG welding.
-
Pneumatic skills: knowledge of cylinders, EV, valves, regulators and manifolds.
-
Chains lubrication, gears, motors.
-
TPM first level: lubrication, 1st level maintenance, filters change, oiling.
Level 3 – Medium expertise
-
Preventive maintenance in welding guns.
-
OEE: manufacturing reporting.
-
Quality control plan, SPC.
-
Electrical knowledge: sensors, PLC basics, DC motors, encoders, servomotors.
-
Electrical drawings interpretation, breakdown troubleshooting.
