Now Hiring: Warehouse Lead – Inventory & Operations Support
Location: Portland, TN
Schedule: M-F 2:45pm-11:30pm
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse Lead to support the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and shipping departments. This individual will be instrumental in ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining safety standards, and supporting team productivity. While this position does not include direct supervisory authority, the Warehouse Lead will play a key role in guiding team members, providing feedback, and helping to coordinate daily tasks in collaboration with the Warehouse Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inventory counts of finished goods and assist with warehouse organization.

Provide feedback to the Warehouse Supervisor on defects, employee performance, and process improvements.

Serve as a flexible team member (“floater”) across warehouse and shipping areas to ensure timely and accurate shipments.

Promote and enforce safety procedures and company policies, particularly forklift and equipment safety protocols.

Help assign daily tasks based on Supervisor direction and monitor work to meet productivity and efficiency goals.

Communicate any labor, process, or operational concerns to supervisors promptly.

Complete and submit accurate employee-related documentation as requested by leadership.

Identify and support improvements to eliminate waste and enhance operational efficiency.

Assist with special projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed.

Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal quality objectives.

Report all equipment or safety issues immediately to the appropriate personnel.

Uphold company housekeeping standards and safety protocols at all times.

Report any employee issues, concerns, or complaints to management – this role does not hold hiring, firing, or disciplinary authority.
Qualifications:
-
Previous warehouse or logistics experience required; leadership experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of inventory management and shipping processes.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to operate a forklift and knowledge of forklift safety regulations (certification preferred).

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to shifting priorities.

Familiarity with ISO standards and lean/waste-reduction principles is a plus.

Must be dependable, team-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
