Job Title: Roundo Operator
Location: Louisville, KY
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM; overtime as required.
Reports To: Production Supervisor | Department: Bay 2
Position Summary
Now hiring a Roundo Operator for an immediate opportunity in Louisville, KY. The Roundo Machine Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the Roundo/roll-forming and bending equipment used to form steel and other metal materials to specified shapes, dimensions, and radii. This position requires the ability to read work orders and drawings, properly set up and operate the equipment, inspect finished products, and maintain a safe and organized work area.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Safely operate the Roundo/roll forming machine and related equipment.
* Review work orders, drawings, specifications, and production requirements before beginning each job.
* Select and install the appropriate rolls, tooling, and machine settings for the material and required shape.
* Properly position and feed steel or other metal materials through the machine.
* Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer and company specifications.
* Safely use measuring equipment such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Ability to read technical drawings of customer parts and set up the Roundo to roll parts according to customer specifications.
* Ability to read and follow MMFI standard work instructions and operating procedures.
* Ability to read a metric tape measure and digital calipers, and use a digital height stand to measure parts to MMFI standards.
* Solid working knowledge of the mechanics of the plate roller process, including which program to use and how to set rollers and roller pressure to make correct bends.
* Ability to utilize 4th Shift and Visibar to receive materials into the area and transact products out of the area correctly and efficiently.
* Minimum 3 years of prior relatable experience preferred.
* Forklift certification a plus (approval by Supervisor required).
Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
* Ability to stand on feet for long periods, including stretching, bending, and stooping.
* Ability to work overtime as required.
