Position: Insertion Operator
Location: Minova – Tooele, UT
Full-time, Direct Hire
Responsibilities:

Follow the production plan according to the priorities established in the program.
-
Report OEE in the application with correct times, production, and incidents.
-
Follow established control plan to ensure manufacturing quality.
-
Manage robotic cell to achieve production program, with budgeted OEE and performance.
-
Train other operators to make sure they deliver expected targets in the line.

Repot workshop incidents in the absence of supervisors and/or shift leaders.
Requirements:
-
2 years vocational/technical training program on robotics and/or stamping or an associate degree in robotics and steel mechanical operation.
-
+5 years’ experience in robotic cells for the steel manufacturing industry or +2 years’ experience in robotic cells operation.
Level 1 – Required – High Expertise
- Robots’ operation: manual movements and HMI operation.
- Tube and pipe steel transforming operations.
- Able to manage steel tooling: shears, cutting saws, grinding wheels.
- Forklift and overhead cranes.
Level 2 – Required – Medium Expertise
- Automatic robotic cell defects troubleshooting.
- Pneumatics skills: knowledge of cylinders, EV, valves, regulators, and manifolds.
- Robots: to be able to use a manual handle to move the robot to a safe position.
- TPM first level: lubrication, 1st level maintenance, filter change, oiling.
Level 3 – Medium Expertise Preferred
- Preventive maintenance in steel insertion and crimping installations.
- OEE: manufacturing reporting.
- Quality control plan, SPC.
- Electrical knowledge: sensors, PLC basics, DC motors, encoders, servomotors.
- Electrical drawings interpretation, breakdown, and troubleshooting.
