Material Handler (Forklift Operator)
Location: National Turnpike Area
Pay: $20.94/hour
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Overtime may be required)
**MUST BE ABLE TO TRAIN ON FIRST SHIFT**
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Material Handler to join our warehouse team. This role is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and moving materials while operating various types of powered industrial equipment. Candidates must have experience operating a sit-down forklift, cherry picker (order picker), and reach truck.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and load freight orders while meeting productivity standards
- Operate equipment including sit-down forklift, reach truck, cherry picker (order picker), stand-up forklift, and dock stocker
- Perform equipment picks and foot picking as needed
- Complete basic warehouse transactions using systems such as SAP, WM Warehouse, and RF scanners
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace through housekeeping and 5S standards
- Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Remain flexible with work schedules to meet operational needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Prior experience operating sit-down forklift, cherry picker, and reach truck required
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (SAP, RF devices, etc.) preferred
- Ability to meet or exceed standard productivity rates
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet
- Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout shift
- Capable of safely loading and unloading materials
