Production Associate – Welding & Machining
Location: Stoughton, WI
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Job Summary
We are hiring a Production Associate with welding and machining experience to support manufacturing operations. This role requires hands-on mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while meeting quality and production standards. Candidates should be comfortable working on projects and contributing ideas to improve processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machines and production equipment independently
- Perform welding tasks (TIG and MIG)
- Complete machining work using manual lathes and milling machines
- Utilize CNC milling machines or demonstrate willingness to learn
- Inspect finished products and identify quality issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including PPE use
- Report hazards, injuries, and unsafe conditions
- Work collaboratively with team members and support staff
- Assist in training or guiding less experienced team members
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience
- Welding experience (TIG and MIG required)
- Machining experience (manual lathe and milling machine)
- CNC experience or willingness to learn
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and procedures
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or production experience
- Experience working with quality standards such as SPC
- Background in continuous improvement or process optimization
Work Environment & Safety
- Must follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines
- Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean workspace
Additional Information
- This is a 3-month contract assignment with potential for extension
- Candidates must be available for a 1-hour onsite interview
