Malone is hiring for a Machine Operator in Missouri City, TX!
Location: Missouri City, TX
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $21.00/hour
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 3–4 days per week
Position Overview
The Machine Operator II is responsible for the setup, operation, adjustment, and basic repair of production equipment to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This role requires advanced machine operation skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistent product flow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, change over, adjust, repair, and operate production machinery across shifts
- Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition and ready for on-time startup
- Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistent product flow
- Perform process control and quality checks to ensure product standards are met
- Operate date coding equipment and verify accuracy of codes on finished products
- Follow all safety regulations, including OSHA standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including keeping work areas clean and organized
- Perform equipment cleaning and sanitation according to current procedures
- Assist Quality Assurance with product sampling and additional support tasks as needed
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in production or manufacturing required; food manufacturing experience preferred
- Proven experience operating and troubleshooting machinery/equipment
- Basic English communication skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency
- Leadership or lead operator experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods (12–14 hours per shift)
- Comfortable working in temperature ranges from -30°F to 176°F (as applicable)
Additional Requirements
- Availability to work 12–14 hour shifts, 3–4 days per week
- Flexibility to work weekends as needed
- Strong reliability and attendance record required
- Must participate in an in-person interview process
- This is a temp-to-perm opportunity
- Candidates with primarily warehouse-only experience will not be considered
