Maintenance Technician (Electro-Mechanical) – 2nd Shift
Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Pay Range: $28 – $35/hour
Bonus: Eligible for annual bonus
Schedule: Overtime, weekends, and on-call rotation as required
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment and factory support systems. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, improving efficiency, and supporting reliable plant operations during 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, modify, and repair automated process control and electro-mechanical machinery
- Perform preventive maintenance on production and support equipment, including compressed air systems, emergency lighting, and dust collection systems
- Collaborate with Production IT and Engineering to reduce downtime and resolve communication-related issues
- Partner with Leads and Operators to quickly resolve equipment issues
- Implement programs to improve equipment efficiency and reduce downtime
- Perform root cause analysis on plant machinery as required
- Utilize KPIs to improve equipment uptime
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of process controls
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2-year Electro/Mechanical Technical Program preferred
- 1-2 years of general machining experience (lathe, milling, grinding)
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience required
- Strong knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Highly motivated and eager to learn new systems and technologies
- Proficient with basic hand tools
- Strong math and computer skill
