Malone is looking for Shipping Clerks in Memphis, TN.  These are temp to hire roles, apply today!

Pay and Shifts:
1st shift:  8:00AM-5:00PM, $22.00 per hour
2nd shift:  5:00PM-2:00AM, $23 per hour

Overview

A Shipping Clerk plays a key role in warehouse operations by preparing, processing, and coordinating outgoing shipments. This position ensures that orders are packed accurately, labeled correctly, and shipped on time while maintaining detailed records and supporting overall warehouse workflow.

Key Responsibilities for a Shipping Clerk

• Prepare and package outgoing orders according to company standards

• Create and print shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documents

• Verify accuracy of order details, quantities, and packaging before shipment

• Coordinate pickups with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, or freight companies

• Maintain shipping logs, tracking numbers, and documentation for audit purposes

• Inspect outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies

• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or scales (if certified)

• Communicate with warehouse staff, customer service, and supervisors to resolve shipping issues

• Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures

• Assist with inventory counts or receiving tasks when needed

Skills & Qualifications for a Shipping Clerk

• Experience in warehouse shipping or logistics preferred

• Familiarity with shipping software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, etc.)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to multitask in a fast?paced environment

• Basic computer skills and comfort with data entry

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• Ability to lift and move packages as required

Physical Requirements for a Shipping Clerk

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift packages throughout the shift

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (varies by employer)

• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment

Typical Work Environment for a Shipping Clerk

• Warehouse or distribution center setting

• Frequent interaction with carriers and warehouse staff
