Inventory Control Specialist
Location: Elk Grove Village, IL

We are currently seeking an Inventory Control Specialist for a long-term opportunity with a well-established customer in Elk Grove Village, IL. This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse experience or anyone looking to transition into an inventory-focused role. Shift & Pay
1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $24.00/hour
Overtime available when needed
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly physical inventories and cycle counts to maintain accurate perpetual inventory
- Maintain high inventory accuracy through proper counting and discrepancy investigation
- Create, update, and maintain daily Excel and Google Sheets reports
- Research and resolve variances between physical counts and system data
- Maintain inventory count records, data files, and cycle count reports
- Track and report non-conforming product
- Work with Plant/Distribution Manager to assign ABC classifications and follow inventory schedules
- Ensure cycle counts are completed on time and in accordance with procedures
- Operate a forklift when certified
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in inventory control or a similar role preferred
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills
- Strong math, analytical, computer, and reporting abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to clearly communicate with coworkers and all levels of the organization
