Malone Solutions is recruiting for a General Maintenance/Grounds Keeper for a local hotel in the Columbus area.
Location: Columbus, IN
Hours/Shift: 1st shift 9am-5pm
Pay: $18.00 hour
Overview:
The job involves performing routine repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure the hotel's facilities, equipment, and grounds are safe and functional. Key responsibilities include fixing issues with plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC, as well as responding to guest requests, maintaining safety systems, and completing general upkeep like painting and minor repairs to furniture and fixtures.
Key responsibilities:
- Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections and scheduled maintenance to prevent future problems and ensure everything is in good working order.
- Guest Services:
Respond to and resolve guest maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all safety systems (like fire safety and elevators) are functioning correctly and the property meets safety standards.
- General Upkeep:
Complete tasks such as painting, minor carpentry, and assisting with landscaping or pool maintenance, depending on the property.
- Record Keeping:
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, work orders, and expenses.
- On-Call Duty:
Be available for emergency repairs, which may require working evenings, weekends, or holidays.
- Repairs:
Perform and troubleshoot repairs on various systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, as well as appliances, floors, walls, and furniture.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Proficiency in a wide range of technical repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a demanding role.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
- Familiarity with maintenance software and systems is a plus.
