Job Title: Machinist
Location: Downtown Louisville, KY
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Range: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Machinist to join our team in a busy machine shop environment located in downtown Louisville. This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on mechanical experience and proficiency in manual machine operation. The role involves working with hand tools, operating various machines, and supporting production needs, including forklift operation as required.
Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual machines to perform basic machining tasks.

Utilize hand tools (personal tool set preferred) to perform repairs, adjustments, and part fabrication.

Inspect and measure finished workpieces to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Safely operate forklifts when needed for material movement.

Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety guidelines.

Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and timelines.

Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.

Welding and CNC machining are a plus but not required.
Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and prior experience in a machine shop or similar environment.

Manual machine operation experience required; CNC experience welcomed but not required.

Proficient in using hand tools; candidates with their own tool set are preferred.

Ability to safely operate forklifts (certification is a plus).

Welding experience is considered a plus.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
