Job Title: Shop Technician
Location: Shively, Louisville, KY
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $26.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and reliable Shop Technician to join our team in downtown Louisville. This position involves cleaning and maintaining restaurant equipment, performing basic repairs, and supporting warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience using hand tools, be comfortable working in a physical and sometimes dirty environment, and either have prior maintenance experience or be willing to be trained on restaurant equipment repair.

Key Responsibilities

Clean, inspect, and maintain restaurant equipment according to company and safety standards.

Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance on kitchen equipment; assist with more complex repairs as trained.

Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

Work in a warehouse environment, assisting with general shop duties as needed.

Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet repair and maintenance goals.

Demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks or equipment repair techniques.
Qualifications

Experience with hand tools required; basic mechanical or maintenance skills preferred.

Prior experience with restaurant or kitchen equipment maintenance a plus (willing to train the right candidate).

Ability to work in environments that involve grease, dirt, and heavy cleaning tasks.

Comfortable with physical work, including standing for long periods and occasional lifting.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
