Overview
Malone Workforce Solutions is currently hiring a Yard Dog / Yard Jockey operator for a warehouse facility in Ladson, SC. In this hands-on role, you will operate yard tractors equipped to move trailers and containers around storage yard or similar location.
Yard Dog Operator Highlights:

Location: Ladson, SC

Schedule: 8-hour shifts; overtime may vary.
Shift: 8am-4:30pm M-F -
Pay: $20/hour with full benefits package offered immediately!

Environment: Warehouse/industrial setting
Yard Dog Operator Duties:
- Move controls to drive diesel and or electric tractors and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
- Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, to load, unload, transport trailers and containers.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating,.
- Hook trucks to trailer hitches and fasten attachments, such as cables to tractors, using hitch pins.
- Operate tractor equipment at safe operating speeds at all times.
- Check trailer or container loading condition and status by visually checking to confirm no load or unload activity is occurring before moving.
- Record all trailer and container movements, from position/location to the next position/location.
Requirements & Qualifications

Must have at least 1 year previous experience operating a Yard Jockey truck. *Skills test will be required.

Valid driver’s license

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks

Comfortable using levers, controls, and safety equipment

Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness

Must be able to stand, bend, and twist for extended periods
