Malone Staffing Solutions is seeking a motivated Office & Customer Service Coordinator to support daily operations and deliver exceptional customer service for a fast-paced scrap and recycling facility located in Lexington, KY.
Office & Customer Service Coordinator Benefits:
Compensation: $18.00 – $19.00/hr. pay (based on experience)
Position Type: Temporary to full-time hire position
Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm (standard business hours)
Saturday: 8:00am – 12:00pm (rotate schedule)
Location: Lexington, KY

Office & Customer Service Coordinator Duties:
* Greet and assist walk-in customers in a professional, respectful, and consistent manner
* Provide clear and accurate communication regarding services, pricing, and process flow
* Answer inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries with a high level of professionalism
* Perform cashier duties including processing cash, credit/debit, and electronic payments with accuracy and accountability
* Maintain and balance cash drawer daily; ensure all transactions are properly recorded and discrepancies are reported promptly
* Accurately complete weigh tickets, issue receipts, and maintain detailed transaction records
* Enter customer and transaction information into computer systems with strong attention to detail
* Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and office software efficiently and consistently
* Maintain organized and up-to-date customer files and documentation
* Work closely with yard and scale personnel to ensure smooth, steady customer flow throughout the day
* Communicate clearly with team members to support daily operations and resolve issues efficiently
* Address customer questions or concerns calmly and professionally, seeking resolution when needed
* Support daily administrative functions including filing, reporting, and data entry
* Monitor office supplies and maintain an organized, clean, and structured workspace
* Follow established procedures and contribute to a dependable and efficient work environment
* Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance, punctuality, and the ability to follow through on daily responsibilities
* Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to a positive, team-oriented workplace culture
* Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards at all times
Office & Customer Service Coordinator Skill & Education Requirements:
* Must pass drug screen and background check
* High School Diploma or GED required
* 1-2 years of office, customer service, retail, or cashier experience preferred
* Experience handling cash, payments, or POS systems is a plus
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Comfortable using computers, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office
* Reliable with consistent attendance and punctuality
* Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and accountability
* Ability to follow procedures and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
* Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
