Position Overview:
The Dietary Aide supports daily meal service operations within a healthcare setting, ensuring that all patients receive nutritious, accurately prepared, and well-presented meals. This role is essential in maintaining patient satisfaction, adhering to dietary guidelines, and upholding high standards of cleanliness and safety within the dietary department. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a team-oriented, service-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately take and record patient meal orders according to prescribed diets and preferences.

Prepare, assemble, and deliver food trays and beverages to patient rooms in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of food service areas, including the cafeteria, tray line, and kitchen.

Restock food, condiments, and supplies as needed to ensure continuous service.

Provide courteous and helpful customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Follow food safety and sanitation standards to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Collaborate with nursing and dietary staff to accommodate special diet needs or changes in patient orders.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service preferred.

ServSafe certification a plus (not required).
-
High school diploma or GED preferred (not required).

Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.

Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
