Overview
Malone Workforce Solutions is currently hiring an experienced Warehouse Associate for a facility in Ladson, SC. In this hands-on role, you will manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor. If you're safety-conscious and have solid warehouse experience, this is the job for you.
Warehouse Associate Highlights:
- Location: Ladson, SC
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts; overtime may vary.
Shift: Varies, 6am, 7am and 8am start times, Monday-Friday - Pay: $16.50/hour
- Environment: Warehouse/industrial setting
Warehouse Associate Duties:
- Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
- Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
- Assemble product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumber.
- Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
- Load and unload cargo.
- Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
- Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
- Carry needed tools and supplies from storage or trucks, and return them after use.
- Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
- Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
- Adjust or replace equipment parts such as rollers, belts, plugs, and caps, using hand tools.
- Stack cargo in locations such as using pallets or cargo boards.
- Connect electrical equipment to power sources so that it can be tested before use.
- Bundle and band material using banding machines.
- Check out, or requisition all equipment needed for production.
- Sweep out cargo containers and storage areas.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience highly preferred
- Must be willing to work in an non-climate controlled, open warehouse
- Valid driver’s license a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Must be comfortable walking for an extended period
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
- Must be able to stand, bend, and twist for extended periods
