Malone Solutions is recruiting for Packagers, Production Operators, and Processing Associates for one of our clients in the Columbus area.
Company Summary:
A specialty manufacturer of powdered beverage and foods. (hot cocoa, sports nutrition, toddler formula, protein powders, coffee and tea)
Position Summary:
Packagers stand at their assigned machine and receive the powdered product that Processing Associates make in the back of the plant. A Packager will fill containers with powder, count, package, and prepare for shipping.
A Packaging Operator One will monitor quality, test/clean machines, and solve problems. They may also assist with packaging duties.
Processing Associate support packagers and leads in fulfilling customer commitments, blends ingredients as needed, and work in a manner that prevents injury. Processing Associate will collect powder ingredients from the warehouse, follow a recipe, weigh bags, load them into a blender, and follow directions for how long to blend them. This role is physical and must be able to lift 60 lbs. repeatedly, and be willing to get dusty from the powder.
Shifts:
1st Shift Mon – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm
2nd Shift: Four 10 Hour days Monday – Thursday 3:30pm – 2:00am. (Off Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Compensation:
1st shift Positions
- Packager $14.00 an hour
- Processor $15.00 an hour
- Packaging Operator 1 $15.00
2nd Shift Positions
- Packager $14.00 an hour + $1.00 shift differential
- Processor $15.00 an hour + $1.00 shift differential
- Packaging Operator 1 $15.00 an hour + $1.00 shift differential

What you need to succeed:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Can-do attitude
- Ability to lift, push or pull 50 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
- Ability to read, write and understand written and verbal instructions
- Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Approach all aspect of work with safety as the highest priority
- Have a strong commitment to learning manufacturing processes and operating machinery while possessing a desire to advance with the company
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work space and providing suggestions for operation improvement
- Forklift experience is a plus
