The Production Printer Level I is responsible for safely operating print production equipment while producing quality products in accordance with established work instructions, production schedules, and customer specifications. This position performs basic machine operation, product inspection, material handling, and quality verification while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. Production Printer Level I serves as the foundation for advancement within the Print Department.
- Safely operate assigned print production equipment following established work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Perform basic machine setup and startup under the direction of a Team Leader or experienced operator.
- Produce quality products while meeting established production standards and efficiency goals.
- Perform visual inspections to identify print defects, molding defects, and product nonconformances.
- Verify product quality using approved control plans, visual inspection standards, and print verification procedures.
- Complete printer setup verification requirements before beginning production.
- Perform line clearance procedures prior to production startup and product changeovers.
- Properly identify parts and packaging materials before production begins.
- Scan production orders and accurately complete production documentation.
- Maintain accurate IQMS and Shop Data transactions as required.
- Properly identify, tag, and segregate nonconforming products using CAR Tags, Hold Tags, and NCM procedures.
- Assist with containment activities when quality concerns are identified.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas following 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards.
- Maintain production lines during normal operation and assist with routine adjustments as directed.
- Follow all environmental, health, safety, and quality procedures.
- Wear required PPE and comply with all Fischbach safety policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
