We are hiring Production Processing Technicians for a candy manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for someone with manufacturing experience who enjoys working with machinery, solving problems, and maintaining high standards for safety and quality.
Pay: $18.00/hour I $21.00 plus DOE at 720 Hours!
Location: Loves Park, IL
Potential permanent hire in as soon as 60 days!!!
We also have the following 1st shift; these will run OT in addition to below:
Responsibilities
- Monitor production and packaging equipment.
- Inspect products for weight, seals, codes, metal detection, and overall quality.
- Make basic equipment adjustments and troubleshoot issues.
- Report equipment problems to maintenance or management.
- Complete production records and computer data entry.
- Remove scrap and keep the production area clean and organized.
- Follow all safety, GMP, and quality procedures.
- Wear required PPE and follow proper sanitation practices.
- Participate in training and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist with other production tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or production experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
- Regular bending, reaching, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work around dust and wear required protective equipment.
