Malone Staffing Solutions is hiring dependable and compassionate individuals for Patient Dining Associate positions at a healthcare facility. This position plays an important role in the patient care experience by assisting patients with meal selections and ensuring meals are assembled, delivered, and picked up accurately, safely, and on time.

Patient Dining Associate Benefits:

Compensation: $17.20/hour
Position Type: Temporary to full-time hire position
Schedule: Three 12 hour shifts and one 6 hour shift a week. Days and hours may vary; rotating weekends included
Overtime: Occasional
Location: Lexington, KY
Additional details: Weekly pay, benefits available, and an opportunity for permanent placement

Patient Dining Associate Duties:

* Assist patients with understanding menu selections and help ensure meal orders meet their nutritional requirements and dietary restrictions
* Work closely with nursing staff, caregivers, dietitians, and the culinary team to ensure patients receive appropriate meal selections
* Assist with identifying menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural or religious preferences, or other dietary needs
* Manage patient tray tickets and accurately assemble meals according to each patient's menu selections
* Deliver patient meal trays accurately and within established time and temperature requirements
* Retrieve meal trays from patient rooms at designated times
* Follow established food safety and sanitation procedures, including Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines
* Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and patient tray line areas according to established procedures
* Follow facility and department infection control policies and procedures
* Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements and patient rights policies
* Assist dietitians and healthcare staff with monitoring patients who have specialized dietary needs, including liquid diets, calorie counts, or other dietary restrictions
* Communicate patient questions, concerns, or problems to appropriate healthcare personnel in a timely and professional manner
* Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports according to established policies and procedures
* Follow all federal, state, and local health, sanitation, food safety, and regulatory requirements
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
* Provide courteous and professional customer service to patients, visitors, and healthcare staff
* Work effectively as part of the patient care and food service team
* Follow all company and facility policies, procedures, safety requirements, and confidentiality standards
* Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Patient Dining Associate Skill & Education Requirements:

* High School Diploma or GED preferred
* Must be able to successfully pass a 10-year felony-free background screening
* Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
* Must be able to successfully complete and pass a TB blood screening
* Ability to read, write, understand, and interpret documents and instructions in English
* Basic computer and mathematical skills
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, caregivers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
* Ability to follow dietary instructions, food safety requirements, and sanitation procedures
* Strong attention to detail to ensure patient meals are accurate and meet dietary requirements
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
* Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday
* Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds
* Ability to maneuver and push food delivery carts throughout the healthcare facility
* Excellent attendance, reliability, and punctuality
* Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
