Warehouse Manager Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager with strong experience in structuring new warehouse space. We are expanding quickly and require new layouts, organization as well as the foresight to know what needs to happen. This position will also oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. You will implement production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards to achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits.
Warehouse Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage operations of warehouse, including: freight, returns, receiving, restock, shipping
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and each employee’s performance
- Keep warehouse as organized and optimized storage
- Address any challenges in the process and solve them
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
- Inventory control including cycle counts
- Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
- Maintain high levels of accuracy in inventory integrity
- Ensure all return material is organized in racks and keep track inventory
- Determine staffing levels, training, cross-train and assign personnel as needed to optimize efficiency and prioritization of daily work.
- Communicate job expectations and coach employees
- Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
- Confer and coordinate activities with other departments
Warehouse Manager Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
- New warehouse set up
- Experience in logistics, supply chain management or warehouse
- E-Commerce / Fulfillment experience with shipping to Big Retailers (e.g. Target, Costco, Amazon, Wayfair)
- Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
- Knowledge of shipping industry, trucking industry, inventory control, and planning procedures
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency
- NetSuite experience is a HUGE plus!
- Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done; not a desk job
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Pay: $29.00 – $34.00 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
