Job Summary:
Are you mechanically inclined and looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing manufacturing company? We are seeking dependable and motivated Machine Operators to join our team! This is a temp-to-hire position offering competitive pay, hands-on training, and the opportunity to build a rewarding career in manufacturing.
In this role, you will operate and maintain bag-making machinery, monitor production processes, perform machine adjustments, and ensure finished products meet quality standards. Candidates with experience in injection molding, automotive repair, machine setup, tool changes, industrial equipment, or other mechanical backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.
Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate bag-making machines safely and efficiently to meet daily production goals.
- Monitor machine performance and workflow to ensure consistent product quality.
- Pack finished products and prepare them for shipment according to company standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and process documentation.
- Perform routine mechanical and digital adjustments to maintain optimal machine performance.
- Conduct quality inspections and identify defects to ensure products meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report equipment concerns to supervisors as needed.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with preventative maintenance activities and machine setup as required.
- Lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 45 pounds.
Machine Operator Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or production experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and make basic machine adjustments.
- Experience with injection molding tool changes, automotive repair, industrial equipment, or similar mechanical work is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working around machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to learn machine setup, tool changes, and production processes.
- Basic computer skills for machine operation and production documentation.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance are required.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to complete approximately 90 days of training on 1st shift before transitioning to a permanent 2nd shift assignment.
Schedule:
- Fulltime – 2nd shift 2 pm – 10:30 pm
- Willingness to complete approximately 90 days of training on 1st shift before transitioning to a permanent 2nd shift assignment (6 am – 2:30 pm)
Pay Rate:
- $23-26/hr.
