Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our Metal Polishing Department. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting finished metal components to ensure they meet quality standards, customer specifications, and cosmetic requirements before shipment. This is a great opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail who takes pride in maintaining high-quality workmanship in a precision manufacturing environment.
Quality Assurance Inspector Responsibilities:
- Inspect polished metal parts and components to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Examine surfaces for scratches, dents, pits, discoloration, polishing defects, and other cosmetic imperfections.
- Verify dimensions, finishes, and workmanship using measuring tools, gauges, and visual inspection techniques.
- Approve, reject, or identify parts requiring rework based on established quality standards.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Communicate quality concerns and non-conforming products to supervisors and production personnel.
- Work closely with the Metal Polishing team to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Quality Assurance Inspector Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify cosmetic and dimensional defects.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, and gauges preferred.
- Ability to accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production teams.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and quality documentation.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspections throughout an entire shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds as needed.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Schedule:
- Full-Time – Monday – Friday 6 am – 2:30 pm
Pay Rate:
- $18.50/hr.
