Forklift/Material Handler

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*          Sample Requests for CSR, R& D & Lab and other requests for samples as needed.

*          Cut samples and reprint labels for raw material, master rolls and finish goods needed for Lab.

*         Scrap bales of recycle items

Deliver Mail, UPS,  FedX

*          Moving material throughout the plant, following routing delivery tickets or orders.

*          Fill orders from storage areas and warehouse stock and deliver to designated departments and machines.

*          Operate power lift truck to move materials and stack pallets

*          Operate walking crane or hoist in unloading and storing materials, as required

*          Unload, move and store a variety of materials, parts or products.

*          Forklift operation.

*          Regular, consistent attendance and punctuality are essential to the job.

*          Report all safety violations to management.

*          Other duties as assigned by manager.

*          Follow up & tracking Material movement using Scanner system under EFI procedures

*          Always follow FIFO procedures

*          Obey all safety traffic signs & procedures (HALO)

*          Forklift check list may be followed & report any issues

*          Communication shift change meeting in a daily basics

*          Must follow all truck loads & unloads procedures safely

*          Must talk about safety topics every day

*          Other duties as assigned

*         Participate in Global Performance System (GPS)  activities as required – 5Star, Pillar Teams, Audits, Near Misses, etc.

*          Regular, consistent attendance and punctuality are required and expected for job performance.

*          Must be able to work a 12 hour work schedule.

Skills Requirements:

*        Read, Speak and Write English

*        Forklift Certification

*        Knowledge of Shop Floor System

*        Math Skills Analytical Skills

*        Problem Solving Skills 

*        Good Communication Skills

*        Organizational & Detail Oriented

*        Microsoft computer programs

*        Leadership skills

Educational Requirements:

*        High School Diploma, GED or equivalent job experience

Training Requirements:

*        Review Company (Corporate & Divisional) policies and procedures.

*        Personal Safety

*        GMP Training

*        Food Safety and Quality Systems requirements and procedures

*        Review Food Safety and Quality System policies

*        Explanation of departments and their roles

*        Job Specific Training

*        Safety operation of machine.

*        Proper lifting techniques.

*        Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

*        Daily housekeeping procedures.

*        Forklift training must be completed before any activity on the floor

*        Hands on training needs to be completed & documented
