Malone Staffing Solutions is hiring a multi-skilled individual as a Logistics Coordinator for a global manufacturer and supplier of powder, resin and anchoring solutions in Georgetown, Ky.
Logistics Coordinator Benefits:
Compensation: $23.00 – $28.00/hr. pay, based on experience
Position Type: Temporary positions 12 – 14 weeks assignment
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Lexington, KY

Logistics Coordinator Duties:
- Contribute to a positive SHES culture by ensuring that all work practices are safety first, quality, and then production standards in this order
- Ensure that all standards are being followed properly for each process
- Adhere to all relevant rules and regulations. *Knowledge of FMCSR and DOT regulations including Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods Regulations*
- Maintain hazardous material certifications (ICAO/IATA & IMO/IMDG)
- Knowledge of International Commerce covering imports and exports. Work closely with Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders to meet goals for international shipments
- Manage orders and shipments to ensure they meet network needs for inbound and outbound freight (track/trace/update)
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Operations Teams to ensure adequate supply of raw materials
- Assist logistics manager in creating and distributing yearly Network-wide RFQ’s as required and complete all pertinent supply agreements
- Assist logistics manager in determining the most efficient and cost-effective delivery method for all lanes
- Manage and monitor the TMS for all LTL & FTL shipments throughout the North American Network
- Planning and scheduling of the North American Network. Coordinate with the plants and other departments to schedule inbound & outbound shipments efficiently and cost effectively.
- Collaborates and communicates with customer service, quality personnel and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products about information or issues related to the shipment
- Respond immediately to customer questions and concerns and notify the appropriate personnel of any delays in delivery schedules
- Assist in training and updating all essential personnel on current and new processes including IT resources used to perform the related processes and address issues when identified
- Assist in preparing accurate reporting with emphasis on vendor performance, plant efficiencies, freight cost controls, and customer experience
- Work closely with customer service and all departments to identify, track, and report DIFOTs. Report to management and work to find solutions to mitigate non-conformance
- Assist in the management of all carrier claims and accidents
- Work with logistics manager, sales, and pricing to establish rates for all project RFQ’s
- Cross-train in Customer Service to improve knowledge of Minova processes and cover when needed
- Ongoing professional self-improvement greatly encouraged (training, seminars, & coursework)
Logistics Coordinator Skill & Education Requirements:
- Must have proper PPE available (Steel toe shoes)
- Must be willing to submit and pass a drug screen
- High School Diploma or GED at minimum
- Additional education in supply chain management or logistics a plus
- Previous working experience as a Logistics Coordinator for 3+ years
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized
- Familiarity with relevant rules, regulations, and standards
