Malone Solutions in Montgomery Al is looking for a Logistics Support person to help maintain accurate finished goods inventory and manage the replenishment process from order to delivery for external vendor products, working closely with the Order Center and Shared Services to meet customer needs and ensure timely invoice processing.
This is an in-person position, located in Montgomery, AL.
Weekly Pay
Shift- Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 p.m. (some weekends)
Pay rate- $22.00 to $23.00 an hour–depending on experience
MUST have Advanced Excel proficiency for logistics operations, including data analysis with VLOOKUPs
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and track customer orders through warehouses to ensure accurate, timely processing and delivery
- Serve as a primary transportation support contact by locating shipments, providing status updates, and resolving delivery issues
- Manage transportation exceptions including missed pickups, late deliveries, BOL changes, reconsignments, and returns
- Communicate inventory availability, shortages, and delivery timelines across manufacturing, planning, procurement, and customer service teams
- Prepare, update, and maintain accurate transportation documentation and system records, including seal numbers and freight data
- Collaborate with carriers, drivers, and public warehouses to resolve fulfillment, routing, and scheduling issues
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards (OSHA/DOT), and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform additional warehouse, logistics, or transportation-related duties as required to support operational needs
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years in distribution or inventory in a manufacturing or related environment.
- Advanced Excel proficiency for logistics operations, including data analysis with VLOOKUPs, filtering, and pivot tables to support inventory, transportation, and order management.
- Experienced in operating and managing warehouse management systems.
- Working knowledge of logistics processes and transportation methods
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deal with numerous interruptions.
- High service oriented with experience working in a customer service environment.
- Basic math skills with the ability to calculate and analyze collected data.
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with third party warehouses to process for payment and resolve and warehouse bills or discrepancies.
- Demonstrate ability to prepare monthly status reports for management.
