Warehouse General Labor – 1st and 2nd shift
Location: Niles, IL
1st Shift – M-T – 6 AM – 4:30 PM (
Pay Rate: 20.00 (19.00 +1.00SD)
Shift: Monday-Thursday – 4pm-230am
Purpose Statement
The General Laborer supports the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of food products by performing hands-on assembly line and material handling tasks throughout the plant.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
- Perform hands-on work on production and assembly lines, including packing, recasing, repackaging, and product rework across multiple lines.
- Support production by maintaining line speed while meeting quality and appearance standards.
- Prepare, stage, and replenish materials, packaging, and supplies during production runs.
- Accurately verify production codes, dates, and labels to ensure compliance with product specifications.
- Operate and adjust coder machines as needed to ensure accurate labeling.
- Build, stack, and hand-palletize finished goods in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
- Perform manual tasks including packing cases, moving cases, and rework activities as assigned
Required:
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, GMP policies and production procedures.
- Basic math skills using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to follow instructions and standardized manufacturing
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds as required.
- Ability to work in hot, cold, humid, and high-noise environments, with appropriate PPE.
