Malone Staffing Solutions is seeking motivated, hands-on leaders to join our team as Production Team Leader for a manufacturer and producer of meat-based protein snack bars and chips in Winchester, KY.
Production Team Leader Benefits:
Compensation: $18.00 – $21.00/hour (based on experience)
Position Type: Temporary to full-time hire position
Schedule: First shift: Tuesday – Saturday, 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Second shift: Monday – Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Third shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 PM – 4:00 AM
Overtime: As needed
Location: Winchester, KY

Production Team Leader Duties:
• Supervise and lead a team of production operators and line workers
• Assign positions on the production line (packaging, raw processing, palletizing, etc.)
• Train new employees and provide coaching and performance feedback to current team members
• Step in and assist on the production line as needed to maintain workflow
• Ensure production meets daily targets for volume and efficiency
• Monitor line performance and proactively reduce downtime
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues quickly
• Oversee workflow from raw processing through packaging to ensure smooth operations
• Enforce GMP standards and food safety regulations at all times
• Inspect product quality, including weights, seals, and labeling accuracy
• Address quality concerns and escalate issues when necessary
• Track and document production output, waste, and downtime
• Report operational issues and performance updates to supervisors and management
• Communicate shift expectations, updates, and priorities clearly to team members
• Enforce workplace safety policies and address unsafe behavior immediately
• Assist with incident investigations when required
Production Team Leader Skill & Education Requirements:
• High School Diploma/GED
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Able to meet attendance requirements
• Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience required
• Prior leadership experience preferred (including informal leadership such as training others)
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Clear and effective communication abilities
• Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
• Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively
• Basic understanding of production processes and equipment operation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
Production Team Leader Additional Expectations:
• This is a hands-on leadership role requiring active participation on the production floor
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods throughout the shift
• Must be prepared to assist during staffing shortages or high-demand periods
• Responsible for maintaining balance between production efficiency, product quality, and safety standards
• Accountable for team performance and overall shift success
