Job Title: Die Setter

Malone Solutions is recruiting for Die Setters for one of our Industrial Manufacturing Clients in the Columbus area.
Pay: $25 DOE
All shifts:
1st: 7:00am – 3:30pm
2nd 3:00pm – 11:30pm
3rd 11:00pm – 7:00am
Position Summary
The Die Setter is responsible for installing, setting up, and maintaining dies, tooling, and related equipment used in production presses. This role ensures machinery operates efficiently, safely, and produces high-quality parts that meet company and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities

Set up and change over dies, tooling, and fixtures on production presses and related equipment.

Align and adjust tooling to meet required specifications and tolerances.

Program and adjust press controls for optimal production performance.

Monitor startup operations and verify product quality before releasing equipment to production.

Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Perform routine preventive maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Adjust air pressures, tooling heights, and other machine settings per process sheets.

Operate presses as needed to support production demands.

Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to support new product launches and process improvements.

Train and support press operators on setup, operation, and safety procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
3–5 years of experience in die setting, tool and die, or manufacturing environment preferred.
Skills & Abilities
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tooling prints, and technical documents.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and moving machinery.
Work Environment
-
Manufacturing/industrial setting with exposure to mechanical equipment and varying temperatures.

Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
