Now Hiring: Electronics Assembly Technician
Location: Lake Zurich, IL
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
(30-minute lunch, two 15-minute breaks)
Pay Rate: $20.00/ Hr.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Assembly Technician for a direct-hire opportunity with an amazing benefit package. In this role, you will assemble, program, calibrate, and test Gas and Toxic Gas Monitors used in industrial and manufacturing environments, including medical and dental applications. This is a stable, long-term position offering excellent benefits, bonuses, and growth potential.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Assemble, program, calibrate, and test gas and toxic gas monitors
- Work with PCB boards using hand and power tools
- Perform surface mount (SMT) and through-hole soldering, including hand soldering and rework
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Gas calibrate and test all monitors to specification
- Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Complete technical documentation, instrument records, and equipment serial number logs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Proficient in SMT and through-hole soldering techniques
- Experience working with PCB assemblies
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
