Warehouse Machine Operator – Batcher
Location: Niles, IL
Pay rate: $23.00/hr ($22.00 + $1.00 shift differential)
Shift: Monday-Thursday | 4:00 PM-2:30 AM
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Batcher / Machine Operator to support a fast-paced food manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for accurately preparing batches, following formulas, monitoring quality, and supporting production while maintaining food safety and GMP standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate mixers, scales, timers, and batching systems
- Prepare and pre-scale ingredients and premixes
- Verify formulas, weights, and labels for accuracy
- Adjust batches within guidelines to maintain quality and reduce waste
- Monitor temperature, consistency, and batching schedules (SCADA)
- Complete production, quality, and equipment documentation
- Perform GMP and safety inspections
- Assist with cleaning, chemical handling, and cross-training in production areas
- Report equipment issues and support continuous improvement efforts
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years manufacturing experience (food processing preferred)
- Basic math skills (percentages, weights, measurements)
- Ability to operate computerized batching systems
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Able to lift up to 55 lbs and work in variable temperatures
Work Environment
- Food manufacturing setting with noise, PPE, and temperature changes
- Fast-paced, team-based operation
