Kitchen Steward / Dishwasher (Part-Time)
Location: Rosemont, IL
Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM (3 hours/day)
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Steward to support the cleanliness and organization of our corporate kitchen spaces. This role plays a key part in assisting culinary and product development teams by ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained work environment. This is not an industrial cleaning role–only kitchen and culinary areas.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes and clean all kitchen surfaces (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, organizing, polishing).

Keep all shared kitchen areas clean, sanitized, and orderly before and after use.

Empty trash, recycling, and compost; dispose of waste properly.

Restock supplies and disposables; monitor inventory and report shortages.

Assist with setup and breakdown of kitchen spaces for meetings or events.

Unpack, rotate, label, and stock all inventory items.

Help with basic food prep and plating as needed.

Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment; report maintenance or safety issues.
Qualifications
-
3-5 years of experience in kitchen, hotel, or banquet stewarding environments.

Experience in professional cleaning and kitchen operations.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods.

Comfortable working in refrigerators or freezers for short periods (PPE provided).

Able to follow verbal instructions and work both independently and as part of a 7-person team.

Reliable transportation required.

Food safety knowledge (Food Handler Card preferred but not required).

Ability to wear PPE (gloves, aprons, safety shoes).
