Malone Solutions is recruiting for a Production Operator/Forklift Driver for one of our clients in the Seymour, Indiana area. Must be Okay with working in a DUSTY environment.
Location: Seymour, IN
Shift: 1st Shift 7am-3:30pm
Pay: $17 hour
Summary:
Operators will be trained to run and operate extrusion machines. This will require workers to perform several basic tasks. In some cases, they must mix thermoplastic materials in the form of pellets or powder with colored dyes before feeding it into the extrusion machine. Extruding machine operators set the dials and controls on the machine to ensure that the created product is the right size, shape and thickness. Once the product is created, extruding machine operators measure and test it to make sure that it conforms to the requested specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Require good problem-solving abilities.
- Collect data from lines and enter data into smart sheet system
- Proficient with inputting data into a tablet / iPad
- Good communications with management and engineers
- Leads changeover, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting activities related to process control.
- Works closely with quality department personnel to review and drive process control improvement activities.
- Ability to lift up to 55lbs to move material
- Actively practices 5S to organize tooling, molds, change parts, and other items in the work area, to achieve acceptable housekeeping standards.
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts; including call-ins and weekends as needed to support production changeovers and start-ups
- High School diploma or GED
- Complete other assignments as directed by supervisors and management
