Looking for a new Job Opportunity? Malone is hiring for a Bodyshop Helper position in Brunswick, GA. Malone is hiring temp to hire employees for this position on the port and will help employees obtain a TWIC badge. Already have a TWIC? Ask about joining the team as a direct hire!
Pay is $14-$15.14/hour
Essential Duties for a Bodyshop Helper:
- Wet sand and buff refinished vehicles.
- Remove imperfections from refinished surfaces with 10-micron sandpaper.
- Utilize high-speed buffer to remove sand scratches and polish to original finish.
- Tape off windows, molding, etc.
- Professionally and courteously interact with other employees, customers and truck drivers concerning any defects in finished products.
- Buff vehicles with factory defects.
- Ensure a spotter is present when backing up vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with possible overtime and/or weekend work
Minimum Qualifications for a Bodyshop Helper:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid US Driver’s License
- Obtain and Maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
- Drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Training in auto body painting.
Physical Working Attributes:
- Work performed in an open shop with high noise level.
- Work with paints and solvents.
- Stand, bend, kneel and or stoop throughout shift.
