Malone is looking for an experienced Jr Buyer in Vista, CA! This is a temporary position (3-4 months).
Job Summary for a Jr Buyer
The Jr Buyer is responsible for coordinating activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies for establishment.
Responsibilities for Jr Buyer
- Determine components and associated quantities necessary for daily purchase utilizing composite pick lists, BOM, current inventory positions, minimum order quantities, purchase history and reported shortages and other ADD+ON data.
- Release orders on blanket purchase orders/enter new purchase orders on ADD+ON for daily requirements.
- Analyze open purchase orders and shortages then expedite materials from suppliers as required.
- Confers with suppliers to obtain product service information, such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
- Prepares purchase orders or requests.
- Reviews supplier proposals and negotiates contract pricing.
- Maintains manual or computerized procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
- Discusses defective or non-conforming material with supplier to determine source of problem and take corrective action.
- Participate in internal ISO audits.
- Maintain files on current suppliers.
Required Skills for Jr Buyer
- Minimum 1 years experience as a buyer.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with PCBAs, SMT and box builds is a plus
- Previous purchasing experience in a electronic component or similar industry ideal
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft office Suite
Pay: $19-$22 per hour
Hours: 7:30AM-4:00PM Monday-Friday
