Malone Workforce Solutions is hiring a 1st Sewer in Henderson, KY
Sewing an American Made product a few minutes from downtown Henderson, KY The sewer will work in a climate controlled warehouse setting canvas materials.
Temp to hire 1st Monday- Friday – NO weekends!!
Job Summary: You must have sewing experience!
The primary function of a sewing machine operator is to create waterproof seams by joining together pieces of material that make up a complete canvas cover.
Essential Duties
- Sets-up a sewing machine at start of shift and gathers needed materials according to product specifications and/or as directed by supervisor or lead
- Operates various equipment to include sewing machines, sonic welders, sergers, etc.
- Conducts quality control checks on raw materials and sewn goods
- Notes on production sheet reports any material defects or sewing errors
- Repairs sewing errors when warranted
- Performs minor routine preventative maintenance on sewing machine to include oiling and cleaning
- Reports to supervisor any problematic issues with sewing machines, sewing supplies, materials, etc.
- Maintains good housekeeping in and around work areas
- Able to walk, sit and/or stand for up to 8-hour workdays
