Looking for a new Job Opportunity? Malone is hiring for a Facility Maintenance Electrician in Brunswick, GA. This is a DIRECT HIRE position!
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general plant maintenance, such as electrical work, plumbing, heating, air systems, and pumps, as well as general grounds maintenance, construction, welding and fabrication.
Essential Duties:
*Perform mechanical and basic electrical repairs on all equipment assigned to the maintenance department.
*Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on electrical systems, heating and air systems, pumps and mechanical and plumbing systems.
*Perform repairs on mechanical equipment by troubleshooting and use of equipment manuals.
*Assist as needed in completion of construction or special projects as directed by Maintenance Manager.
*Ability to cut, weld, and fabricate metal from blueprint or verbal instructions.
*Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
*Perform other duties as assigned.
*SHIFT: Monday-Saturday 6:00am-3:30pm with the possibility of overtime and/or weekend work based on business needs.
Minimum Requirements:
*High School Diploma or GED
*Technical Trade experience in electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC systems and vehicle maintenance or equivalent experience.
*Valid US Driver’s License
*Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
*Drive both automatic and standard vehicles
Preferred Requirements:
*Ability to effectively communicate, understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
*Must have basic to advanced carpentry skills
*Two-year minimum experience in general plant maintenance.
*Ability to use equipment such as two-way radio, battery charger and cables, air tank, power and hand tools, welder, and forklift.
*Must have own tools and maintain company tools in good working order.
*Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
*Possess problem-solving abilities
*Deadline and detail oriented
Job Requirements:
*Lift, push, and or pull up to 50lbs
*Stand, bend, and or kneel throughout shift
*Work at heights up to 20 feet
*Exposed to high noise levels and fumes within the Dewax facility
*Work exposed to outdoor elements such as heat, cold, rain, and or any other conditions out of doors
*Work with cleaning solutions and chemicals
