Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract – 6 to 9 Months)
Location: Lincolnshire, IL
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $21.00 – $23.00per hour (based on experience)
A global manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support its Accounting team on a contract basis. Position Summary:
This role supports all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately review and enter invoices, including coding, purchase order matching, and approval routing.

Reconcile processed transactions by verifying entries and comparing system reports.

Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliations.

Maintain positive vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies.

Send weekly remittance details to vendors post-payment.

Ensure compliance with AP policies, including vendor setup and invoice processing.

Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting files.

Support daily accounting operations and provide coverage as needed.

Assist with reporting, audits, and special projects.

Drive improvements in efficiency and effectiveness across AP functions.
Qualifications:

Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.

1-3 years of previous accounts payable experience.

Familiarity with accounting principles and terminology.

Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.

Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate within a team.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
