Housekeeping

We are looking for a highly motivated, dependable, customer service oriented, housekeeper. This person needs to be able to bring a positive energy to an already positive team environment. This client is looking for someone to make an instant impact, who can hit the ground running at the local hospital.
Job Title: Housekeeping
Location: Seymour, Indiana
Pay: $14-$15.68 hour depending on shift
Shift:
1st Shift 7am-3:00pm
2nd Shift 3pm-11pm
Overview:
| Maintains cleanliness and infection control in facilities and meets quality controls expectations while successfully completing task within established time frame. |
Housekeeper Responsibilities:
- Uses proper hand washing technique
- Cleaning assigned areas/quality control
- Complete turnover of patient rooms in a timely manner Occupied Room: 30-35 minutes. Terminal Clean: 40-45 minutes
- Proper understanding and handling of medical waste
- Remove trash and soiled linen from rooms and replace
- Mopping, sweeping and vacuuming
- Put supplies away when not in use
- Clean hospital rooms, bathrooms, and hallways
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be a positive person
- Able to work on your feet all day
- Must be able to show up to work on all scheduled days
- Team Player
- Must have strong leadership skills
- Must be able to take direction
- Must have strong work history
- Must be able to read, write, communicate and understand English language. Bilingual is a plus
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be okay with bodily fluids
- Able to work on rotating holidays and weekends
- Must be available to work overtime as needed
- Must have medical shots up to date. The hospital will work with you to get them updated.
