Outside Sales Representative / Estimator
Frankfort, Illinois
Malone is recruiting on behalf of our client for an Outside Sales Representative / Estimator to join a growing, privately-owned manufacturer specializing in custom architectural metalwork.
This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional with direct sales experience who wants to work independently, support multiple regional markets, and make a real impact on the company’s growth.
Position Highlights:
- Direct Hire | Full-Time
- Base salary range: $50,000-$80,000 (based on experience) ~$50,000-$60,000 (for entry-level / recent graduates) ~Up to ~$80,000 (With 3-5 + years' experience including architectural drawings & fabrication knowledge)
- Performance based bonus/comp plan.
- Location: Frankfort, IL
- Travel/Territories: 30-35% average travel/will sell in multi-market regions
- Office Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
Training and Ramp-Up:
- First ~6 months focused on training
- After learning the company’s materials, processes, and project workflows you will be hitting the road to targeted markets.
Then, What You Will Do:
Sales & Business Development

Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple regions

Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, upselling where appropriate

Cold call, network, and door knock to generate leads

Follow up on trade show and marketing leads

Access lists of upcoming projects through company-provided resources
Estimating & Project Support

Review architectural drawings and specifications to prepare accurate estimates

Understand materials, finishes, and mock-ups for custom aluminum products

Collaborate closely with project managers, shop staff, and engineering teams
Multi-Market & Customer Management

Work across several key markets, maintaining client relationships

Travel as needed to meet clients and support projects

Represent the company professionally and consistently in the field
What We’re Looking For:

1-5+ years of outside or direct sales experience, preferably in construction, subcontracting, millwork, or manufacturing

Hunter mentality: thrives on new business development

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to read architectural drawings and a basic understanding of aluminum fabrication

Comfortable with domestic travel and multi-market client coverage

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and OneNote
