Planner / Scheduler – Day Shift in Tooele, UT

We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong production planning, scheduling, and supply chain coordination skills to help keep operations running efficiently. If you have experience in a manufacturing environment and enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and ensuring materials and production stay on track, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning and Scheduling
- Plan and schedule daily and weekly production activities to meet customer demand.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to ensure on-time delivery.
- Communicate production plans, changes, and priorities to supervisors, team members, and other departments.
- Review capacity plans to balance workloads and optimize resources.
- Analyze data and generate reports on production performance, capacity utilization, and inventory levels.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Materials and Supply Chain Coordination
- Review raw material inventory daily to ensure adequate stock for upcoming production runs.
- Coordinate with central Purchasing to manage material orders, releases, and deliveries.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring materials and finished goods arrive and leave on schedule.
- Publish and review daily shipping schedules with logistics partners.
- Verify inbound receiving schedules against expected deliveries to avoid delays.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate degree required.
- 1-3 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ERP or MRP systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or operations-related field.
- 3+ years of experience in production scheduling, capacity planning, or logistics coordination.
- Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or related field.
- Strong data analysis and reporting experience.
