Malone Workforce Solutions is hiring a Technician for a manufacturing and fabrication facility located in the J-Town area of Louisville. . This is a hands-on position working in the fabrication of expansion joints — ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and a solid work ethic.
Technician I Highlights:

Pay: Up to $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (some flexibility to start at 7:30am); occasional overtime

Technician Job Responsibilities:
-
Operate equipment such as the Atom Flashcutter, conveyor belt rubber cutting tools, and variable crimper
-
Fabricate rubber and textile expansion joints using industrial sewing, vulcanizing, molding, and power tools

Read and follow fabrication prints and work orders

Use pallet wrappers, grinders, band/chop saws, and hand tools to complete work

Prioritize workloads, maintain the shop schedule, and put away stock

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and other shop equipment
Technician Job Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED preferred OR 5+ years of relevant mechanical/fabrication experience

Strong mechanical aptitude required — experience in shop environments or other hands-on roles is a strong fit

Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, measurements, and fabrication drawings

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain forklift certification
